Childishness in this thread from some aside, I find it difficult to oppose the democratic decision made by the people that created/run that chan. We can just mail the best WH CSM we've ever had, no? It's not just the barring him from participating in the one channel spoken of, it's the general ***-attitude of people who are at the helm of big organizations that matter in w-space. Nobody voted those guys in, and they're doing more harm to the culture overall than any amount of Goon WH CSMs ever could. Think about that for a minute. I'm sure corbexx will get over not being allowed in that channel. Doesn't sound much like a channel I'd enjoy being a part of either. So edgy and bitter, such elite. Cream of Anoikis right there. corbexx has been an outstanding* WH CSM during his tenures, and from my own personal perspective he's always had time for me whenever I've spoken to him about something relevant in my EVE life. This hasn't changed since his re-election. I rate corbexx highly and always have, though yes, when he did the Goon switch thing I felt that was a real douche move, but despite my instincts I kept faith in him that he'd continue to have his priorities sorted anyway and sure enough he seems to be continuing to do a great job. Probably not the best idea he ever had, but we all make the occasional dumb move. At the end of the day he is still delivering. Don't let the haters get you down, corbexx. As I said, corbexx has always been super-approachable. I'd tell corbexx to give as good as he gets and show these guys some crappy attitude in return when they turn around sometime and come to him about something wormhole-related (because that's what they deserve), but I know corbexx has more integrity than that. The only relevant thing in this is whether all the representatives from all the wh groups are comfortable with him being in that channel. It really is this simple. I dunno why so many people go out of their way to turn this into some massive thing. As I said numerous time already (and very few people bother to read it), I ,personally, dont really care that much. I'm always happy to answer corbexx and provide him with whatever feedback he needs, I never blocked him in anything, never kicked him form anywhere. I will do for him what he needs to be a CSM. What I will NOT do is to go over the heads of all other WH diplos and CEOs for him. I agree that in a tactical-sense of course, you don't want a pilot from a big nullsec entity sitting in a WH channel that seemingly is used primarily for tactical reasons, batphoning, etc and w/e. But people don't need to be knobs about it. And people are being knobs about it, and toward corbexx consistently on various levels. The channel thing is just symbolic of it, and I don't feel he deserves that. That's all -I- am saying in my posts and from my viewpoint. And I can promise you that these same folk will be the first to come whining to him when there's a CSM-relevant WH issue that they want raised or looked at. Or maybe they'll convo Chance?
